Subject Matter Experts
(SMEs)
& Task Coordinator Qualifications |

|
Many Contracts and Tasks have historically been for either
a short duration or for the assignment of a unique skill set from a single SME. In such
cases, the SME will report directly to the GBTI PM assigned responsibility for a specific
contract. In other cases, the assigned Task Order may require multiple support SMEs
working on different, but related deliverables for longer periods. Or, there may be
several tasks requiring coordination best managed by an SME focused on the interrelated
deliverables for the same experiment wherein assignment of a Task Coordinator would be
beneficial. In such cases, the PM will select an individual SME and assign him/her as Task
Coordinator to ensure additional close supervision is provided in meeting safety and
health objectives, and quality objectives of preparing Task deliverables.
An assigned Task
Coordinator must have a minimum of five years experience in serving as a task lead or Task
Coordinator in support of a Task Order contract. Employees assigned as Task Coordinator
will have experience in scheduling, reporting, policy development, and issues resolution.
The use of Task Coordinator has proven an effective means of focusing on the immediate
needs and support of our clients and will be applied as appropriate on technical and
management support contracts. |
